This reel showcases some of my recent works and contributions to other team projects. I have done various different roles from which I have learnt many skills. You can find each of these works in full on this website or in my youtube channel: Lorena Santos.
Whilst working for newspaper Hamar Arbeiderblad I often cover matches of the team HamKam 2 which are then broadcasted live on DirekteSport via Amedia. Usually I film them together with my freelance partner Mikael Hansen.

During my current period doing gigs for newspaper Hamar Arbeiderblad I have also covered the live broadcast of the municipal and county council national election day as camera operator. I also filmed and co-edited all of the street interview compilation segments shown throughout the broadcast.

“The Horror Within” is my bachelor thesis production. A meta essay film exploring the question “why do we watch horror films?”. I researched, wrote, planned, shot, acted in and edited the film with some production assistance from fellow students.
“The Martyr” is a documentary made by a small team including myself and two other students about a cat rescuer. My main role was sound design but I also took part in the story development and planning including the cinematography and editing process.
Essay film making a comparative analysis of the thematic difference between the film and TV adaptations of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I wrote, shot and edited it.
The yearly 2-week broadcast of the University of Stavanger’s news channel. I participated in both my 1st and 2nd year of studies in different roles. I also helped teach each lighting and décor person and provided them technical help throughout the 2021 edition on top of my daily role.

The 2020 regional final of the research presentation contest Forsker Grand Prix in Stavanger was produced with the help of my university and thus we collaborated with other external companies to make the episode. During filming I was the VB and afterwards was the Head of Postproduction, tasked with supervising the postproduction team and editing and delivering the final product to Nrk.

“Læring for Livet” is a show produced by my university wherein researchers debate relevant topics about education, youth and society. The first 7 episodes were done by my class where I switched between the roles of camera 2 operator, editor, light and décor and camera control.

This short documentary-style portrait I worked on tells the story of a politically engaged young artist struggling with illness. Together with a partner we both planned, filmed and edited the short.
Part of both an assignment and internal marketing campaign contest at the University-College of Leuven-Limburg. The goal was to find a strategy and show examples of how to promote an unlikely product, the 2014 example being: “Danone for men”. I helped develop, film and edit the commercial.
